Purpose. The MF Technical Library is published by MF Fastener Industries LLC as general technical information for engineers, inspectors and purchasers. It is intended to help readers understand fasteners and check specifications; it is not engineering advice for any particular project.

Basis of the data. Dimensions, mechanical properties and calculated values are derived from the formulas and requirements of the international, European and American standards named on each page, as understood by MF at the date shown. Standards are revised; the reader is responsible for verifying against the current edition and against the project specification, which takes precedence in every case.

Calculated tools. Capacities, torques, weights, lengths and coating recommendations are reference figures for preliminary comparison. They do not account for joint stiffness, prying, fatigue, eccentricity, temperature, embedment, edge distance, corrosion allowance or code-specific partial factors. Bolt selection, joint design and installation procedures remain the responsibility of the qualified engineer for the project.

What MF makes and what MF supplies. MF Fastener Industries LLC manufactures anchor bolts, studs and plate washers at its Umm Al Quwain plant. Hex bolts, nuts, washers and other items are imported from established mills and supplied from stock. Dimensional and thread inspection is carried out in-house on calibrated instruments; tensile, hardness and chemical testing is performed at independent UAE-accredited laboratories.
