Dimensionsby yield strengthGrade is by yield strength, not by diameter. Colour marking on the exposed thread end identifies the grade on site — check it before the concrete is poured, not after.
Grade 55 has a weldable supplementSupplementary requirement S1 limits the carbon equivalent so the bolt can be welded — needed where the anchor is welded to a template, a base plate or reinforcement. Order it as Grade 55 S1. Standard Grade 55 has no such limit and welding it risks a brittle heat-affected zone. Grade 36 replaced A307 Grade CASTM withdrew A307 Grade C and replaced it with F1554 Grade 36. Older drawings still call for A307 Grade C anchor bolts; read them as F1554 Grade 36 and confirm with the engineer if there is doubt. Tell us the projection, not just the lengthWe need the total length, the embedded length, the projection above concrete, the thread length at each end, and the hook or plate detail. Ordering the assembly as a set avoids the common site problem of the bolts arriving without the right nuts or plate washers. At a glance
Made hereAnchor bolts are manufactured at our own plant. Bar is cut, bent or headed, threaded, and coated in Umm Al Quwain. Bending is done cold or hot depending on grade and diameter. Plate washers are also made here — square or rectangular, cut and drilled to your drawing. Hex bolts, nuts and round washers are imported and supplied from stock. Finish
Galvanizing after bending is normal. Bending a galvanized bolt cracks the coating at the radius, which is where corrosion then starts. Before the pourAnchor bolts are the one component that cannot be corrected after concrete is placed. Check the template, the projection and the grade marking on site before the pour. We can supply setting templates to your drawing to hold bolt groups in position. TestingDimensional and thread inspection is carried out in our own plant on calibrated instruments.
