Lifting Eye Nut:

Lifting Eye nuts are fasteners with a looped head. And it is designed to receive a hook or rope. These Eye nuts are rated for different types of applications and are oval or round in shape. Moreover these nuts to this standard are intended as permanent attachments on equipment such as motors, control cabinets, gear boxes, etc.

Generally these nuts shall be screwed tight against the surface. When two lifting eyes are used their mutual position shall result in the two eyes at the same level. Larger angle between the slings than 90° are not tolerated. They can not be assembled against a surface that differ essentially from a surface perpendicular to the direction of the lift.


Lifting Eye nut are special hook nuts used for lifting objects.  It is manufactured in high tensile alloy steel, carbon steel and stainless steel. They are usually cold and hot forged for high tensile material integrity. And its dimensions are defined in both metric and imperials sizes with unified national coarse pitch (UNC), fine pitch (UNF), fixed pitch (UN) and iso metric thread profile. These are produced across all material categories and astm specifications.

Hoist Rings. Carr Lane Lifting Eyes are simple, economical lifting devices suitable for fully vertical lifting in-line with the threaded bolt, such as when lifting from a single point or from two points with a spreader bar.

In accordance with standards DIN 580:2010 and DIN 582:2010. The carbon steel used for the construction of lifting eye bolts and lifting eye nuts is aluminium killed steel C15E (EN 10084/98).

A2 (AISI 304) or A4 (AISI 316)  stainless steel is also used for the construction of lifting eye bolts. And lifting eye nuts materials can be employed for special applications. They are also called lifting eye, forged eye bolts.
